Art happenings this summer:
Carmel Art Association
Sheila is a member of the prestigious Carmel Art Association, one of the oldest cooperative galleries in the country. It features the work of professional local artists. She exhibits new paintings monthly and has additional paintings available in the gallery and on the web site. The gallery is open from 10 am to 5 pm daily and is located on Dolores between 5th and 6th in Carmel. Sheila's painting can be seen on the gallery's website www.carmelart.org. The 2024 Carmel Art Association Artist Catalog is now available for free in the gallery.
Monterey Living Magazine
The Life and Art of Sheila Delimont" was the feature article in the January, 2023 editions of both Monterey Living and Carmel Living Magazines. The six "page spread covers her careers as a planner and an artist. It features photos of her studio and paintings.
Carmel Bach Festival
The Art of Music raffle helps support this well known festival. Sheila donates an oil painting every year for the exhibit which hangs in the Marjorie Evans Gallery at the Sunset Center, Carmel, California. This year's painting is "Spring in Point Lobos." The Bach Festival Festival is scheduled for July 13-27, 2024.
American Artist Magazine
Sheila's oil painting, Daybreak Over the Marsh No. 3, was selected as a finalist in the Landscape category of the American Artist's Magazine 34th Annual Art Competition. Her studio was featured in the 2009 Studios Edition of American Artist Magazine. The full page story has photos of her studio and includes tips for organizing a studio/gallery space. The Artist Daily Blog (August 27, 2010) also highlighted her studio.
Memberships
Sheila is a juried associate member of the Women Artists of the West. She is also a member of the California Art Club, and the Pastel Society of the West. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Carmel Art Association as its Secretary.
